Well, its time for a blog.  This past week was interesting.  We got our narratives back and I did not do it right at all.  Actually, I was probably the furthest thing from doing the assignment right.  But it's all good because I still got points and we get to re-do the narratives anyways.  So I still have to start this narrative which will probably get done tomorrow at 5:00 in the afternoon.  It will still be good though.  It’s about snow days back home and how my school never got them.  

This past week in class we went over our poems we wrote, talked about stories out of the Mercury Reader and started talking about certain phrases that are specifically known to certain groups of people.  Writing the poems was kind of fun.  I wrote mine about snow days back home in Grand Blanc.  The stories out of the Mercury Reader weren’t the most interesting.  Especially story number 5.  That was weird.  Talking about the different phrases was pretty fun though.  It was interesting seeing how people knew exactly what was being said at one minute, then the next have no idea.    

Thought and Writing has been an interesting class so far.  I am liking what we are doing with our blogs.  I accidentally have 8 more blogs than I should so I don’t think I will be putting music up for a week or so.  I still have to do my poem too.  I don’t know how I am going to go about writing it but I need to get that done and still read these poems.  I am going to try and make this poem as beautiful sounding as possible though <3.   But I’m going to go work on this poem now. 

Kreayshawn - Twerkin!!! (feat. Diplo & Sissy Nobby)

Alright, so I just started listening to this about 4 minutes ago and thought I might as well post this song.  I’m not a fan of Kreayshawn, but this song is very catchy.  The only reason I even checked this song out is because it was a collab with Diplo who is one of my favorite producers/artists.  Diplo makes beautiful electronic music.  If anyone has ever heard of Major Lazer, that is also Diplo.  His awesomeness also reaches out to his hip-hop beats that have also been featured on songs with Yelawolf.  I hope you enjoy this song, its soo catchy. 

Hopsin - ILL MIND OF HOPSIN 5

This song right here, gives me chills everytime I listen to it.  The ILL Mind of Hopsin 5 in a nutshell, goes against all the rappers poisoning the minds of its youthful listeners and then goes against the teenagers who listen to them.  Hopsin points out the mistakes in their lives whether it be drug use, sex and gangs.  I liked Hopsins other ILL Mind videos, and I wasn’t sure how I would take his serious rapping, but it is better than anything he’s done before.  I would definitely encourage that you give this a listening to, it is a great song and video.

Tom Fall - iROK (Original Mix)

This song is a pretty good club friendly tune.  A little old but good nonetheless.  I came across this song on a Knife Party live set and I liked it the minute I heard it.  This song bumps along at 128 bpm and is sure to get any party or club hyped.  Its filthy bassline with its subtle white noise in the background makes this song an absolute masterpiece.  I’m very happy I came across it and if you like Electro and/or Prog. House, I would definitely suggest checking this monster out.  I hope you enjoy this amazing song.
